For the love of art-no matter what it is, a piece will always continue to be perceived. When your piece is judged, it feels akin to yourself being in your own product’s shoes. The choice of applying solely black and white oil pastels allowed me to create something that would carry a raw and messy visual-which in turn would aid me in achieving the depiction of fear to be judged-as art. The inclusion of tarnish-able visuals when constructing my piece, multiple tissues, and many times my own hands, were all made of use to blend onto my canvas.
