My name is Melania Lynn Frazure. I am a Junior at North Salinas High School.

The most important role influencing my art is my friends.

An art movement that inspires me is Impressionism. I love how Impressionism can really change your feelings about art; I’d love to get better and do the same.

The most eye opening thing I have learned in my class was when my teacher was showing her painting of fruit and how good it looked. Her use of light and allusion made some fruit look closer to you then they actually were.

The medium I used for my piece is canvas paint and pencils.

I want the viewer to learn that my painting would make you question a lot about it and to make you feel uneasy, yet,  there is something cute in the artwork.

I feel like the artwork that I created was freeing to make because I got to express as much as I wanted to, and I could stop and finish my art whenever I wanted to.
