Cats are the main subject matter in my world of tranquility and softness. My cat, Moka, embodies the softness with her incredibly gentle and velvety grey fur, but in an attempt to create this illusional world of niceness, I chose to paint her white.

In the midst of my recent relatively busy and hustle life, Moka appears to be a harbor that provides comfort and signifies calm. This painting is my attempt of trying to capture the most cherished moment of me and her with the soft-pastel-like pink background enveloping the panel. I want to capture not just the physicality of Moka but the emotional sanctuary she provides. Her presence in this dreamlike composition can also be seen as part of the proof of the comfort and joy that our pets bring to our lives.
