My art mediums are simple, I enjoy using a single graphite pencil and a plain sketchbook to pour my projects into. I enjoy using Shuttle Art markers, Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens, Prismacolor markers and color pencils, while also enjoying less expensive mediums such as Crayola colored pencils. With painting I use simple canvases with Acrylic paint and Posca paint markers. I love to explore character designs, cartoons, and go to the extreme opposite such as realism to keep my techniques strong in both styles.
Every day I try to sketch in my sketchbooks. Working on my own character design works and still improving my realism so I can apply those techniques to my cartoons, as you can see in my main project. The work has a semi-realism art style which depicts the mixture of my two main styles. Most importantly the piece itself resembles transgender awareness and this resembles my life challenges and experiences, the fear of being rejected by your own family because of who you are. Not only painting on wood was challenging but another challenge was being fearful to draw something that some people dislike. My goal overall is surpass that fear and speak up for those who cannot.
