As an artist named Monica Bernal from Greenfield, I find deep inspiration in the natural beauty of Carmel, a place I consider one of God's masterpieces. My goal is to capture and convey the divine splendor of Carmel's landscapes through my art, using traditional mediums to mirror its rolling hills, vibrant flora, and serene ambiance.

Believing in the sacredness of the creative process, I explore themes of gratitude, reverence, and the divine order in my work. The very name "Carmel," meaning "garden" in Hebrew, adds a spiritual depth to my paintings, illustrating how Carmel is a divine garden.

I am submitting a piece for an upcoming show—a visual celebration of Carmel's beauty and a testament to its status as one of God's magnificent creations. This artwork, born from the fertile ground of previous works and sketchbook musings, serves as a visual hymn, inviting viewers to connect with the awe-inspiring beauty of Carmel and appreciate the Creator's masterful hand at work.
